Review : Quality Control Problems ruin this PC
After spending quite a bit of time researching a new ultrabook, I had decided upon the Thinkpad twist. The idea of a convertible that I could use as a tablet was very attractive. The first unit I got had a defective keyboard. The left arrow key was sprung out and didn't really function at all.
Got that exchanged very easily, but the second unit failed a self diagnostic read/write test for both RAM and the HDD. I was very surprised because Lenovo has an excellent reputation for quality and our Lenovo desktop has been flawless for years. Even so, the company seems to be having QC issues with this new line. Needless to say, I decided upon another model and manufacturer at that point. FWIW, I also found that the 3.5 lb form factor made the tablet experience unsatisfactory, so I decide upon a 13.3-inch touch-screen ultrabook from Samsung that is working out well for me.
